Shirley Anne Fortina is the principal of The POD Consultancy and a facilitator, trainer, business development coach, speaker and author of a report entitled “Women in Business” edited and published by The ARK Group Australia. Shirley Anne has significant experience in building and developing strong relationships on a cross firm basis with colleagues, existing clients and potential clients. She has 20 years of experience predominantly in the banking and finance sectors across a broad range of companies and industries, in three countries (South Africa, England and Australia) and in various roles.
Prior to POD Shirley Anne spent two and a half years working in professional services where her key focus has been business development and client relationship management.
Having worked for a number of organisations, Shirley Anne has been exposed to many different types of systems, processes, management structures, cultures and people. She is experienced in negotiation, preparation, presenting and closing of new business proposals; risk management and compliance; strategic business development planning and implementation; client management and relationship building; facilitation, leadership, coaching and formal training.
Shirley Anne holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree together with a number of diplomas in banking, finance and management. She has completed a voice and communication drama course and is finalising her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and The Institute of Company Directors Course.
